Initial Shot List for My Opening Sequence

For my opening sequence, I have planned a range of camera shots to help introduce the characters, setting, and narrative, while also creating a sense of enigma and emotion.

• Medium close-up of male and female products – This visually shows that a couple lives together and highlights their differences.
• Wide/medium shot of the girl doing her final touches in the mirror, followed by the same shot of the man – This introduces both characters and shows what they are like, while also building anticipation for where they are going.
• Close-up of the ring – This is an important prop that hints at the proposal and creates enigma.
• Over-the-shoulder shot of the girl on the stairs – This helps position the audience with the character and makes the moment feel more personal.
• Long shot of the girl at the top of the stairs – This shows her full appearance and outfit, reinforcing the rom-com genre.
• Close-up of the couple together – This highlights their relationship and emotional connection.
• Medium/long shot of them leaving the house – This moves the narrative forward and shows they are going somewhere important.
• Close-ups of them in the car – This builds intimacy and focuses on their expressions before the key event (the crash).
