I have decided to pick Universal Pictures and Working Title as my production companies because they are both well known for producing successful romantic comedies. Working Title, in particular, is strongly associated with British rom-coms such as 'Notting Hill' and 'Love Actually', meaning it has clear links to the conventions and style of the genre I am aiming to create. Universal Pictures often distributes these films, giving them a global audience and making them commercially successful.
By using these companies as inspiration, my opening sequence can feel more realistic and professional, as well as align with audience expectations of the romantic comedy genre. It also helps establish the tone and style of my film from the very beginning, as audiences may associate these companies with high-quality, feel-good romantic films.
